OUR STORY

Born in Quarantine, Built in the Fraser Valley
When quarantine meant endless TikToks and memes, we kept seeing the freeze-drying trend pop up. Fresh out of high school and heading into summer, we wanted to stay productive. A freeze dryer came up for sale and we thought, “might as well try this out.” That experiment became Frostbites—freeze-dried fruit snacks made in the Fraser Valley.

HOW WE STARTED
We started with freeze-dried candy and grew into 40+ B.C. retailers fast. But we wanted staying power, not just short-term hype. So we shifted into the natural foods market with freeze-dried fruit snacks—cleaner labels, bigger everyday demand, and a category that fits our mission.
We got to work
With production anchored in Langley, we started individually pitching grocery buyers across the Fraser Valley and Metro Vancouver. The result: steady placements for our freeze-dried fruit snacks and a growing roster of retailers who value clean labels, long shelf life, and grab-and-go convenience.

Giving back bite by bite
Great snacks should do great things. Born in Abbotsford, BC, we support organizations like Smiles Through Seva, Abbotsford Regional Hospital, and Family Services of Greater Vancouver—donating product, pitching in at events, and saying yes when our community calls.
What is Freeze drying
Freeze-drying is a gentle preservation method that locks in fruit’s color, flavor, and nutrients by removing water while it’s frozen. We slice and freeze the fruit, then place it in a vacuum so the ice skips the liquid stage and turns straight into vapor (that’s called sublimation). With the moisture gone, you get light, crispy pieces that stay shelf-stable without additives—real fruit, real crunch, zero prep.
